Pickens calls off plans for world’s biggest wind farm in Texas

HOUSTON — Plans for the world’s largest wind farm in the Texas panhandle have been scrapped, energy baron T. Boone Pickens said Tuesday, and he’s looking for a home for 687 giant wind turbines.

MONROE, La. — A startup automobile company plans to assemble a new fuel-efficient car in Louisiana, employing an estimated 1,400 people once production starts, state and company officials announced Wednesday.
