Officials say NY school superintendent wrestles gun away from armed man on campus

ORANGETOWN, N.Y. — Police in suburban New York say an armed man who was wrestled to the ground by a superintendent at a middle school is a former police officer and parent of a student.

NY school on lockdown after report of shots fired; police say adult in custody.
