Wild: Goalie Niklas Backstrom to have surgery on his left hip Friday, should be back for camp

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota Wild All-Star goalie Niklas Backstrom will have surgery to remove two cysts in his left hip that caused problems with his groin muscles and affected his mechanics in the net this season.

United Airlines parent UAL reports $382 million 1Q loss as premium traffic declines

MINNEAPOLIS — United Airlines said Tuesday it lost $382 million during the first quarter as it raced passengers to see who could pull back faster on flying. Passengers won, though United has been aggressively cutting costs to try to keep up.
