HONOLULU — U.S. Attorney Florence Nakakuni says restitution in the amount of $378,000 has been made to the United Public Workers union.

The money was part of a judgment against former UPW leader Gary Rodrigues.

HONOLULU — Scientists say dramatic new species of corals and sponges have been found in the Pacific during deep-sea dives northwest of Hawaii.

HONOLULU — Hotel occupancy in Hawaii rose slightly in September, the first increase after 18 months of declines, Hospitality Advisors LLC reported.
