Kerala assembly’s budget session starts Friday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM - The budget session of the Kerala assembly will start Friday and is expected to be stormy as the ruling Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) is hit by factionalism and corruption charges against a top party leader.

RAIPUR - The Bharatiya Janata Party Monday presented a Rs.222.11 billion budget which levies no new taxes for the fiscal 2009-10. The budget has a deficit component of Rs.11.85 billion.
