BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan — In a Sept. 11 story about U.S. troops in Afghanistan, The Associated Press reported erroneously the hometown of Army Sgt. Joshua Applegate. According to his grandmother, he is from Springfield, Missouri, not Mississippi.
