Suicide blast in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO - An unspecified number of people were killed or wounded by a suicide bomber in Sri Lanka’s southern Matara province Tuesday, an official said.
Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara told IANS that ‘there were reports of several casualties’. Matara, populated overwhelmingly by the Sihalese community, is about 160 km south of Colombo.
