Miami actor faces child porn charges

MIAMI — A Spanish-language actor and frequent guest on the popular Univision show “Sabado Gigante” has been charged with possessing child pornography.

Adonis Losada, 45, was arrested Friday at his Miami Beach apartment, a police report said.

Investigators found a child pornography image Losada sent to a social networking Web site, Boynton Beach and Miami Beach police said. Police say investigators then obtained a warrant to search Losada’s home and found 18 child porn images on his home computer.

A call to a home phone number listed for Losada was not answered Monday. It was not immediately known if Losada had posted bond or had an attorney.

Losada, a native of Cuba, impersonates the flighty but sweet grandmother Dona Concha on “Sabado Gigante.” Univision said in a statement Monday that Losada had been suspended until authorities finished their investigation.
