Software engineer commits suicide in Noida

NOIDA - A software engineer working with an IT major here committed suicide early Wednesday by jumping from the fifth floor of his office building, police said.
Vikas Sharma, 26, originally a resident of Bihar, joined IT major HCL January last year as a network analyst. Around 4.30 a.m. Wednesday, Vikas reached the office for the early morning shift, but instead of going to his desk he went to the fifth floor and jumped from there, police said.
The security guards rushed Vikas to the hospital where doctors declared him dead, police said.
“We are investigating the case from all possible angles,” inspector Anil Samania said.
