Six killed in Himachal accident

SHIMLA - Six people were killed Thursday when the car in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into a 1,200-foot gorge in Himachal Pradesh.

Additional Superintendent of Police B.K. Chaudhary said six people were killed on the spot when their car rolled down into the gorge near Chamba town. He said all the victims belonged to Pathankot in Punjab.

The bodies have been sent to the district hospital in Chamba for post-mortem examination.

Chamba is 450 km from the state capital.
