Funerals on Saturday for 2 Pa. health club victims

BRIDGEVILLE, Pa. —Funeral services are set for two of the three women who were fatally shot at a Pittsburgh-area health club on Tuesday night.

Heidi Overmier’s funeral begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of Bridgeville, not far from the L.A. Fitness center where she was killed. Later Saturday morning, a funeral Mass will be celebrated for Elizabeth “Betsy” Gannon at St. Margaret of Scotland Church in nearby Green Tree.

Visitation will be held Sunday for the third victim, Jody Billingsley. Her funeral will be Wednesday in Franklin, in northwestern Pennsylvania.

All three women were in a dance aerobics class when they were gunned down by 48-year-old George Sodini, of Scott Township, who then shot himself. Authorities and Sodini’s family have not released funeral details for him.
