LONDON - Actor Mickey Rourke believes he did the right thing when he beat up his former wife’s drug dealer.

Contactmusic.com reports that Rourke saw his then-addict wife getting heroin from the supplier and he beat him up.

He said: ‘I hit him harder than anybody in my life. He was out before he hit the ground. I hit an artery and there was a stream of blood that went 20 feet into the air.’

This angered the producers of the movie he was working on.

He added: ‘I wasn’t crazy about who I was working with. Already they were asking me, ‘Are you going to be giving us trouble?’, and it really p**sed me off.’
