Report: blasts kill 6 at Serbia munitions factory

BELGRADE, Serbia — State TV is reporting that six people have been killed and at least 10 injured in a series of explosions at an ammunition factory in central Serbia.

The report said the explosions occurred around 10 p.m. local time (2000GMT) Thursday in the town of Uzice, about 150 kilometers (95 miles) southwest of Belgrade.

State TV said the blasts took place in an underground part of the factory. It did not provide additional details.

Authorities were investigating the cause of the explosions.
