Red Wings’ Kopecky to miss Game 5 against Ducks
ROMULUS, Mich. — Detroit Red Wings coach Mike Babcock says forward Tomas Kopecky (TAHM’-uhz koh-PEHT’-skee) is out for Game 5 against the Anaheim Ducks.
Babcock and the Red Wings arrived home Friday after beating Anaheim 6-3 to even the series.
Kopecky sustained facial injuries during a fight with Francois Beauchemin (FRAHN’-swah BOH’-shee-mihn) in the third period of Game 4. He was to be evaluated.
Babcock says defenseman Brian Rafalski and forward Kris Draper are both doubtful for Sunday’s game in Detroit. Neither has played in the series because of upper-body injuries.
