By Soumya Sinha, Gaea News NetworkWednesday, September 16, 2009
Raymond Clark iii, the Yale lab technician was taken into custody Tuesday night in the murder investigation of Yale grad student Annie Le so that cops can run a DNA test on him. His Middletown, Conn. building was surrounded by troopers and FBI agents today as around 11 PM, the muscular guy was brought out, handcuffed by police. New Haven Police Chief James Lewis said at a news conference that,
We are looking for DNA and physical evidence. This is not an arrest warrant, this is a search warrant.
One of the prime concerns for police was, the killing took place in a heavily secured building accessible only to students and university employees. It was the first killing at Yale in a decade. So, cops were pretty sure that this is a work of an insider.
