NEW DELHI - Despite the slowdown that has seen job cuts across sectors, the Indian Railways will fill 1.7 lakh vacant posts after reviewing the recruitment process, Railways Minister Mamata Banerjee said Friday.
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will review the hiring process and address regional aspirations and problems witnessed during recruitment in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Assam, Banerjee told the Rajya Sabha.
The vacancies will be filled once the review is over, she added.
The railways have a total sanctioned strength of nearly 15.67 lakh, the minister said.
The bulk of the vacancies are in the two lower grades, while the top two grades have about 1,500 vacant posts.

Dear didi, with due respect I like to inform you that please do same things for the ordinary boy of Bengal as we are not either much qualified nor have much knowledge in English. So we are not able to gate much facility in the private firm as the non-Bengali had. Also please think about us — ma, matti, manus of the bangle. |
