Recalls: coffee makers, dust collection switches
The following recalls have been announced:
— About 9,800 Black & Decker thermal coffee makers, made in China and distributed by Applica Consumer Products Inc., of Miramar, Fla., because the coffee makers can overheat and melt, posing a burn hazard. The company has received one report of a coffee maker melting. No injuries have been reported. The recall involves Black & Decker 8-cup programmable thermal coffee makers. — About 450 Shop Fox dust collection remote switches, made in China by Woodstock International, of Bellingham, Wash., because an incorrectly sized wire can overheat, posing a fire hazard. The company has received 10 reports of the remote switch overheating. No injuries have been reported. The recall involves a remote dust collector switch, which remotely turns on and off a woodworking dust collector.
