Pranab meets Advani, says ‘thank you’

NEW DELHI - External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee Tuesday called on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani to thank him for cooperating with the government during the past five years of parliament session.
Although details of the meeting were not available, the minister had said earlier in the day that he would meet Advani to express his ‘thank you’.
Mukherjee said it was a custom for the leader of the house — a post he held in the 14th Lok Sabha — to thank the leader of the opposition at the end of its term.
He said he wanted to meet Advani on the last day of the just ended session but could not do so due to previous commitments.
