Post-grad student commits suicide in Delhi

NEW DELHI - A 24-year-old post-graduation student was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his home in south Delhi Sunday, police said.

The incident came to light Sunday morning. The deceased Aftab was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his home in Ambedkar Nagar by his family members, said a senior police officer.

Aftab was pursuing his Masters in Computer Application (MCA) from Indira Gandhi National Open University and was in his first year. His father is an auto-rickshaw driver.

No suicide note has been recovered from the spot. We are investigating in the matter to ascertain the reason that forced him to take the step, the police officer added.
