Pork, beef futures fall; agriculture trades mixed on the Chicago Board of Trade

Agriculture futures mixed; livestock prices fall
CHICAGO — Agriculture futures were mixed on the Chicago Board of Trade Thursday morning.
Wheat for July delivery rose 1.25 cents to $5.60 a bushel, while July corn gained 4 cents to $4.115 a bushel. However, July soybeans slipped 3 cents to $11.15 a bushel, and oats for July delivery were unchanged at $2.08 a bushel.
Meanwhile, beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
June live cattle lost 0.40 cent to 81.47 cents a pound, and August feeder cattle shed 0.50 cent to 98.50 cents a pound. June lean hogs lost 0.73 cent to 66.37 cents a pound, and July pork bellies tumbled 2.05 cents to 79.35 cents a pound.
