NEW DELHI - With a light drizzle bringing down the temperature Saturday, the meteorological department has predicted a pleasant weekend ahead for the capital.

As the minimum temperature settled at 27.1 degrees Celsius — average for this time of the year — the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted the maximum would not go beyond the 35 degree mark.

“It will be a pleasant day today with thundershowers. The weekend will also be pleasant,” an IMD official said.

The total rainfall recorded until early Saturday was 0.4 mm.

Relative humidity was recorded at 66 percent.
