Pimco hires new portfolio manager

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — Pacific Investment Management Co. said on Friday that it has hired Marc P. Seidner as an executive vice president and portfolio manager.

Pimco, one of the world’s largest bond managers and a unit of Germany Allianz SE, said Seidner will run a range of fixed-income portfolios when he starts work on Monday.

Seidner most recently was managing director and domestic fixed-income portfolio manager at Harvard Management Co.
