MIAMI — Patricia has weakened to a remnant low, a day after prompting officials in Mexico’s Los Cabos resorts to close schools and ready emergency shelters.
The system has maximum sustained winds near 30 mph (45 kph) early Wednesday and is expected to weaken and dissipate in the next day or two.
Patricia’s remnants are centered about 15 miles (25 kilometers) east-southeast of Cabo San Lucas and moving west-northwest near 6 mph (9 kph).
