ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that Islamabad’s principled stance on the long pending Kashmir issue would remain unchanged, and that it would continue to extend political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris.

During a meeting with Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) Preisdent Raja Zulqarnian Khan and Prime Minister Farooq Haider at the PM House here, Gilani said his government would continue struggling for the cause of the people of Kashmir.

Separately, Haider met President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidency where he was felicitated for being elected as the new Prime Minister of the region, The Daily Times reports.

Zardari urged Haider to fasten the development work in the region.

He also called for early reconstruction of various installations, which were damaged in the devastating earthquake in 2005, rehabilitation of people affected by the construction of the Mangla Dam and development of the new Mirpur city.

Dear Sir,

8 October 2005. The day of horror in the POK. Just in a day’s disaster, about 80,000 people (official figures) died and countless were injured and further several lacs were became internally displaced persons. The havoc wrecked was mostly limited to POK. A little wind also blew in on Indian side of LoC. >4yrs are passed. Still the rehabilitation is in pathetic state. God bless them.

I see that majority of articles on this page at footnotes are obsessively only about the Kashmir issue. What a paranoia? We watch it with interest while their own house is burning.

They say,”You should not pelt stones on others houses, when your own house is also made of ‘GLASS’. Perhaps this proverb does not apply to Pakistan de jure.

Once again God bless them. The politicians are heard to inflame passions to save their own cause sometimes. But hardly seen or heard in a recent civilised society, where, they burn the whole nation in a constant blaze without any reason except for the ‘BIGOTRY’.

We are decided,”We shall perish but will putrefy you too” “Ham to doobe so doobe sanam, magar le de ke doobenge”.

I pray “Allah” the Almighty and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to guard and guide them.

So long. Please keep a watch on Uncle Monkey and Sham Mummy. God Bless.

Dr. O. P. Sudrania
