Over 60 people injured in collision

WASHINGTON — Over 60 passengers have been injured in the crash of two Metro trains.

District of Columbia Fire Chief Dennis Rubin says that about 50 of the passengers fell into the quote — walking wounded — category of injuries.

Rubin says that about a dozen additional people were in his words “yellow-tagged” with somewhat more serious injuries.

Rubin says the crash happened shortly after 5 o’clock Monday afternoon.
