Omaha police search for suspect in street shooting
OMAHA, Neb. — Police officers with assault rifles and dogs are going door to door in north Omaha, searching for whoever shot a man found lying in an Omaha street.
Residents in the north Omaha neighborhood reported hearing gunshots about 3:10 p.m. Sunday. The man was found in the street with a gunshot wound in his chest and taken to the Nebraska Medical Center, where he died.
The victim’s name has not been released.
