Obama says insurers profit with his health plan
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says insurance companies will make less profit on each patient if he gets his health care overhaul.
But Obama says they’ll make it up because they’ll have more paying customers when the uninsured sign up for coverage.
Obama pitched his health plan during an ABC News’ town hall-style event from the White House’s East Room.
Insurers aren’t buying it. They say Obama’s plan to have them compete with a new government program would drive them out of business.
Republicans complained they were shut out of the event.

It’s silly to think that the government plan won’t put private insurers out of business eventually. Which is what I think is the plan or more precisely the plan is more likely that the government will do like they did with the auto industry and buy up some of the insurers in a Fascistic move. Now they own auto companies and banks. Insurers are next and then what? Energy? The overall picture though is killing the dollar as the world’s reserve currency. China is buying up gold like crazy and is in talks with other countries to stop trading with US dollars. |
