Obama to meet with Democratic senators

WASHINGTON — Senate Democrats will meet with President Obama at the White House on Tuesday.

Spokesman Robert Gibbs says the meeting is to discuss what has been accomplished during the first six months of the Obama administration, and the president’s priorities going forward.

The Senate breaks for its August recess on Friday.
