SEOUL - North Korea appears to have test-fired one short-range missile Monday after it conducted a second nuclear test, South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency said.

The 130 km-range missile was fired from its Musudanri missile base in Southern Hamkyung province, Yonhap said.

“The US and South Korean authorities are working together to assess the missile launch,” Yonhap said, quoting sources.

Earlier in the day South Korea’s presidential office reported it has detected an “artificial earthquake” in North Korea, which was later confirmed by North Korea as its second nuclear test.

The nuclear test site is located 10 to 15 km away from the site of the first nuclear test held in October 2006.

The UN must pass a resolution letting the N. Korea know that it absolutely and firmly condenms such actions, after all the N. Korean could use more toilet paper.
