NJ man, 82, charged with fondling Wal-Mart patrons

TRENTON, N.J. — Police in New Jersey say an 82-year-old sex offender has been charged with fondling female Wal-Mart customers.

Hector Castro of Hasbrouck Heights was arrested at a Wal-Mart in Secaucus on Sunday and charged with lewdness and four counts of criminal sexual contact. Four women have accused him of pressing up against them and touching himself as they stood in the check-out line.

Secaucus Police Capt. John Buckley says detectives have requested security video from the store.

State prison records show Castro served time from 2003 to 2005 for convictions on sexual assault and lewdness.

It was unclear Monday night whether Castro had an attorney.
