Shaw Group receives New Jersey turnpike contract
BATON ROUGE, La. — The Shaw Group Inc. said Thursday it received a contract from the New Jersey Turnpike Authority to perform construction management and inspection services for enlarging a turnpike in central New Jersey.
The value of the contract was not disclosed, but Shaw said it was part of a five-year, $2.5 billion project that will add 170 lane miles through 11 communities and three counties.
Shaw will oversee and manage all construction activities, including project scheduling, cost control, progress reporting, inspection, testing, cost analyses and environmental compliance.
In afternoon trading, shares fell 99 cents, or 3.1 percent, to $30.91.
