KATHMANDU - Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s visit to China has been cancelled due to soaring tensions between his government and the Nepal Army over the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) clarification episode.
The Prime Minister was scheduled to commence his visit from May 2, nepalnews reports.
According to the PM’s press advisor, Om Sharma, Dahal directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to put off his China visit for now.
During his trip, Dahal was expected to sign a few agreements on Chinese assistance to Nepal. The proposed new friendship treaty between the two countries were also on the agenda.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav had visited Beijing ahead of Dahal’s visit. (ANI)

Dear editor, The proposed visit of China will be useless. Because they are the agents of RAW. Their only intention is to destroy the identity of Nepal. The Maoist are horbouring anarchy by violating democratic norms and attacking state institutions on all fronts. It proves Maoist are giving lip-service to democracy but they are not committed to stablish democratic situation. They are tring to attain absolute power by creating anarchy.I think Jokers can’t do nothing, Parcanda is also like a Joker. He is nothing. He is the agent of Indian Congress (I) and RAW. The Maoist-led government has failed to maintain the rule of law and become failure to provide social justice to the common people. The police, have been plying as culprits survive and thrive with impunity. The rule of law, Judiciary, Nepal army, and prestige of Nepalese identities are at peril.I think, if Nepalese Maoists’s regime will contitnuous, India also can’t secure. The Maoist regime is just like a poisonous wine in a new bottle. So, in such confused time, if China respects the aspirations of Nepalese people, I request to Chinese government to cancel his visit for-ever. |
