NCP pledges support to UPA

NEW DELHI - The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Sunday pledged its support to the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) for the formation of a new government.
‘We have been part of the secular ideology and we are happy to support the formation of a new government,’ Praful Patel, civil aviation minister and senior NCP leader, told reporters.
NCP has won nine parliament seats, eight in Maharashtra and one in Meghalaya.
