CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A North Carolina man who police say arranged on Craigslist for his wife to be raped by another man pleaded guilty last year to indecent exposure in Virginia.
Police say a judge sentenced the man to 30 days in jail for the misdemeanor offense in the Chesterfield County, Va.
Kannapolis police Sgt. Chris Nesmitt said Friday investigators are getting details on the Virginia case as they look into last weekend’s assault of the man’s wife at their home.
Police say the husband found the attacker through Craigslist, the online classified service under scrutiny for sexually explicit ads.
The husband faces first-degree rape and other charges. The accused attacker has not been identified.
