MV Agusta unveils first new models in 10 years
NEW YORK — The Italian sport bike company bought by Harley-Davidson Inc. last year is unveiling its first new models in 10 years, saying that its purchase by Harley is starting to pay off.
MV Agusta Group unveiled two new versions of its Brutale sport bike on Thursday. The company’s U.S. director says the 2010 models, which cost $15,000 and $18,000, are the first in a line of new products on the way from the company. He also says the company is also looking to add more U.S. dealers to the 40 it already has in the U.S.
Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson bought MV Agusta last July for $109 million, seeking to boost its presence in Europe and enter the growing performance bike market.
