NEW DELHI - Delhiites can continue to enjoy a respite from the scorching heat with the weatherman predicting rain and thunderstorm in the capital late Saturday.

“The weather will remain pleasant today with cloudy skies. Towards the evening we expect rain or a thunderstorm accompanied by a squall in some areas,” said an official of the meteorological department.

The minimum temperature recorded early Saturday was 27 degrees Celsius while the maximum was predicted to hover around 39 degrees Celsius.

However, humidity levels remained high. The minimum humidity was recorded at 30 percent and was expected to rise to 60 percent.

There was chaos on the capital’s roads Friday as large signboards and trees fell due to a dust storm. However, it brought the temperatures down.
