Montana teen charged with killing 1, injuring 2

HELENA, Mont. — A Montana teenager is accused of killing another teen and injuring two others in a shooting that police say stemmed from an argument over a girl.

Seventeen-year-old Sebastian Walter Olivares-Coster of Helena is charged with one count of deliberate homicide and two counts of attempted deliberate homicide. He was being held on $500,000 bail in a juvenile facility.

The two injured boys, ages 15 and 16, were hospitalized in the Wednesday night shooting. One was in serious condition, the other stable.

Police say the dispute began via text messages over a 15-year-old girl. The injured victims told police the suspect lured them up a hill for a fistfight when he pulled out a gun and shot all three of them, killing 17-year-old Cory Adam Andrewski.

Violence in teens is increasing day by day just like teens who are more into drug/alcohol abuse. There are various reasons why teens become violent, but whatever the case, this is the daunting scenario we have today of our younger generation. I read on this blog parentingteens.com/blog/teen-guilty-in-the-murder-of-own-father/ that Just recently, CNN reported a heart-breaking news about a Berkeley teen who was convicted in the murder of his father. The victim was raising three kids on his own when one of them, for reasons unknown, murdered him with a gunshot to the head. The judge handling the case found the 16-year-old teen guilty of first-degree murder with an enhancement for using a gun in the death of his 40-year-old father.”
So what do we all expect of our future which lies in the hands of our younger generation. The scenario was quite different in previous generations that have some believes and values.
