Mom in cyberbullying case asks to use Web again

ST. LOUIS — A mother who was tried on accusations she was involved in a MySpace hoax directed at a 13-year-old Missouri girl who committed suicide wants to use the Internet again.

Lori Drew’s lawyer says she has been offered a job that requires her to use the Internet. The lawyer asked a federal judge in California on Wednesday to modify Drew’s bail conditions so she can.

Drew was convicted last fall in the case where she was accused of illegally accessing a computer to harass a teenager, Megan Meier. U.S. District Judge George Wu tentatively threw out convictions against Drew in July.

Wu said if Drew had been found guilty, anyone who violated the social networking site’s terms of service would be guilty of a misdemeanor, and that would be unconstitutional.

That woman should have not seen freedom for a very long time.Just goes to show what kind of justice system we have.America is crazy.Think what u would have done if that had been ur daughter. This is why so many people take the law into their own hands, because of whimpy judges.

My personal opinion about the whole thing is that she got off easy. My daughter has been the victim of these so called people who think that they are better than everyone else and believe that it is okay to harass young people, or as far as that goes anyone. NO ONE has the right to do what she did. She should have been put on trial for murder because that is what she did.
