Quake in Albania causes damage no injuries
TIRANA, Albania — Albanian authorities say an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.4 in the northeast of the country caused some damage but no injuries.
The Albanian Institute of Seismology says the quake struck at 11:49 p.m. (2149 GMT) Sunday in a village in the Dibra area close to the Macedonian border, some 62 miles (100 kilometers) northeast of the capital, Tirana.
Local authorities said Monday that two house collapsed and others suffered minor damage.
The quake was felt in central and northern Albania. It was followed by dozens of small tremors.
