Moderate earthquake jolts Taiwan

BEIJING - An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck southwest Taiwan Tuesday morning, the earthquake network centre of China said.

The quake hit Kaohsiung county at around 8:04 a.m. with its epicentre lying 23.0 degrees north latitude and 120.6 degrees east longitude, according to the centre.

No casualties and damage have been reported so far.
