Mo. woman pleads guilty to kidnapping 5-year-old
INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — A suburban Kansas City woman who already pleaded guilty to murder in a spree of videotaped sex killings has also pleaded guilty to kidnapping a 5-year-old while fleeing police in 2006.
Dena Riley, of Independence, Mo., pleaded guilty on Monday to kidnapping a southeast Kansas girl from a family member of her boyfriend, Richard Davis, while staying with them. Investigators say the family didn’t know Riley and Davis were on the run from authorities.
In December, the 42-year-old pleaded guilty to murder in the death of 41-year-old Marsha Spicer, whose sexual torture and suffocation were videotaped. Riley also pleaded guilty in an attack on a Kansas City, Mo., woman.
Riley is already sentenced to life in prison without parole. Davis is sentenced to death for Spicer’s slaying.
