Men who raped tribal girl in Madhya Pradesh arrested

BHOPAL - Three people who raped and murdered a 10-year-old tribal girl at the famous tourist destination of Pachmarhi in Madhya Pradesh’s Hoshangabad district last week have been arrested, police said Monday.

“The girl was taken to an isolated place in the hills of Pachmarhi and first raped and then murdered by the trio on Nov 19. Her body was found on Nov 20 from a lake,” the police said. Acting on a tip off, the police nabbed all three late Sunday.

During interrogation, accused Arun told the police that he took the girl to an isolated place where his friends Rajesh and Rampal raped her and then murdered her.

Hoshangabad is about 100 km from here.
