ISLAMABAD - Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi Friday termed as positive his meeting with his Indian counterpart S.M. Krishna in Italy, saying all issues were discussed in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.

I am hopeful that both countries will soon restart the composite dialogue as it is the only sensible way to move forward, a private TV channel quoted Qureshi as saying.

Both foreign ministers are in Trieste for a G8 outreach conference.

India has repeatedly stated that the dialogue process, frozen in the wake of the 26/11 terrorist attacks in Mumbai, can resume only after Islamabad takes credible action against the alleged Pakistani perpetrators of the carnage.

It was agreed in the meeting that a schedule for a meeting of the foreign secretaries of the two countries would be announced soon, the foreign minister said, adding that the political leadership of both countries would meet in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement summit in mid-July, after the meeting of the secretaries.
