Md. dad left loving notes to wife, 3 kids he shot
MIDDLETOWN, Md. — Newly released police records show a suicidal Maryland father left loving goodbye notes to the wife and three children he killed in April.
The records obtained Thursday by The Associated Press through a public information request include the text of handwritten notes that Christopher Wood left on or near the bodies of Francie Billotti-Wood, 5-year-old Chandler, 4-year-old Gavin and 2-year-old Fiona at their home in Middletown, Md.
In the note to his wife, Wood wrote that while he loved her dearly, they should never have gotten married.
In a note to his parents, Wood wrote he would probably go to hell for what he did.
Police concluded Wood shot and decapitated his family members before later putting a shotgun in his mouth and pulling the trigger.
