Maradona becomes a grandfather

MADRID - Argentine national coach Diego Maradona became a grandfather after his daughter Giannina gave birth to a baby boy in a hospital here Thursday.

The boy’s father Atletico Madrid star Sergio Aguero was present at the private hospital in the outskirts of the city.

This is the first child of the couple. Aguero said the baby will be called Benjamin Leonel.

Aguero missed Atletico’s training session Thursday morning because he was in hospital. He is expected to play against Sevilla Saturday.
