Manmohan Singh elected Congress Parliamentary Party leader

NEW DELHI - Manmohan Singh was Tuesday elected as the Congress Parliamentary Party leader, party officials said here.
At the meeting of newly elected Congress MPs held at parliament’s central hall, Manmohan Singh’s name was proposed by Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Gandhi was elected chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party. Her name was proposed by senior Karnataka leader Mallikarjun Kharge, party officials said.
