NEW DELHI - Three armed robbers Monday snatched a bag containing Rs.2 million in cash from a man who was going to a bank to deposit the money, a Delhi Police official said.

Mohammed Arif, a resident of Hapur in Uttar Pradesh, was going to deposit the money at a bank in IP Extension in east Delhi, when the robbers snatched the bag from his hand, the official said.

“The robbers later snatched a motorbike from a passerby and escaped. Primarily, it seems to be the work of someone who knew about Arif carrying the money,” the officer said.
