Man kills mother for Rs.15 in Chhattisgarh

RAIPUR - A 24-year-old alcoholic man hacked to death his mother in Chhattisgarh after she refused to give him Rs.15 for his daily dose of liquor, police said Wednesday.

The incident was reported from the Kaya village in Raigarh district, about 280 km from here.

‘The accused Phagguram Monday hacked to death his 58-year-old mother Hirmet Bai when she refused to urgently provide Rs.15 to him for liquor,’ local police officer Swaymbar Singh said.

The police officer said Phagguram had confessed his crime and admitted that he was inebriated when he killed his mother.
