AGRA - A 61-year old man, who entered a Delhi residence address in a hotel register, was found dead with veins cut in a room Thursday morning, police said.

The man, who wrote his identity as G.L. Arora from Janakpuri in Delhi, had consumed alcohol and then cut his veins with a blade, according to police.

Staff of the Hotel Grand, where he was staying near the Agra Cantt railway station, went to wake him up at 10 a.m. When there was no response, hotel staff forced open the door to see Arora dead. No suicide note was recovered.

A police officer said the man “could be from Nagpur because his mobile number is from there and his shirt collar also had a Nagpur tailor’s name”.

He had checked in June 23.
