New York City- In Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade’s 83rd year in 2009, the celebration is all set to be on a grand scale, one that is certainly going to surpass all the parades that have been held over the years. The parade, which is counted to be among one of the biggest on-street parties to be held in New York, will feature some of the most prominent faces from the field of entertainment this year too. This year, the likes of Jimmy Fallon, Jay Sean, Carly Simon, Keke Palmer, Mitchel Musso, Jane Krokowski, Gloria Gaynor, Emily Hughes and many others are touted to be among those to grace the event.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2009 is going to be hosted by the likes of Meredith Vieira, Al Roker and Matt Lauer and will be aired live on the NBC networks from the morning of Nov. 26, Thursday, itself. Over the years, it had turned in to a tradition for the colorful moving troupe to follow the route that would begin from the historic Broadway. However, this year, there is going to be a significant change in that aspect as the party is all set to embark on it’s merry making journey from the 77th Street and Central Park West. It had to do so owing to some “mid-town landscape” changes that have recently taken place.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2009 would also see the balloon of the popular precocious frog from Sesame Street accompany the others that will include a big Uncle Sam balloon, a turkey float, as well as Santa and his playful elves. This year’s New York City Marathon winner, Meb Keflezighi is reportedly going to ride on the Statue of Liberty Float, accompanied by 2009 Miss America- Katie Stam.
